How do I know if my phone has international roaming or calling?

To determine if your phone can be used for international roaming, verify the presence of a "Roaming" option within the cellular settings.

iPhone:

  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Cellular
  • Look for the Roaming toggle and turn it ON.
  • If using multiple lines, tap on the line first, then look for the Roaming toggle.

Android:

  • Tap on Settings
  • Tap on Internet, Cellular, or Connections
  • Tap on Mobile Networks
  • Activate Data Roaming

All phones that utilize a Red Pocket Mobile service plan have the ability to make international calls from the United States to any supported country. To initiate most international calls, simply dial 011, followed by the Country Code, and finally, the desired recipient's phone number. If this does not work, you’ll need to dial your network-specific access Code first, then 011, the country code, and finally, the phone number.

YES! Thanks to the latest Red Pocket Mobile roaming options, customers can now enjoy the convenience of making and receiving calls in Canada and Mexico as long as they have a sufficient balance of available minutes.

What is the difference between roaming and international roaming?

Roaming refers to using your mobile device, such as a cell phone or tablet, outside your home network coverage area. It allows you to make and receive calls, send and receive messages, and access data services while connected to a different network.

On the other hand, international roaming specifically refers to roaming services when traveling outside of your home country. When you travel internationally, your mobile device connects to a foreign network, and you can use your device as if you were still within your home network's coverage area. This means you can make calls, send messages, and access data services abroad, typically at an additional cost.
